Kiefer Is Pumped For 24 Movie!
The clock is slowly ticking it’s last tock on 24 and there seems to be one key person who is thrilled to see the show end in favor of a movie: Kiefer Sutherland ! In a recent interview, he was asked about his expectations in taking his iconic Jack Bauer to the big screen. Kiefer seemed eager and up to the challenge, thanks to the new structure and locations opening up to the story. He explains: “I’m very excited about the idea (of a movie). I’m very excited about the opportunity, and singularly because it’s a two-hour representation of a 24-hour day. So for the first time, it will be very feasible in this 24 hours to go from England to Russia, or from China to Japan, depending on where they choose to set it. Before on the TV show, the crisis had to come to us, because the best we could do was get across town. And the two times we ever put Jack Bauer in a plane, it just didn’t work. So it alleviates a huge hurdle that real time writing presented for us.” Furthermore, Kiefer admits that if the show had been picked up for another season, that would have been “mistake” as the structure has made the show tired and unappealing for fans. We think everyone involved is in agreement that a movie is the only way to go and keep Jack Bauer fighting the good terrorist fight. Agreed? [ Image via WENN .]
